After a brief stint in Rome due to a long layover, we were extremely glad to escape the holiday crowds in Rome for some relaxing and totally gorgeous Tuscan countryside. I’m definitely in love!! This weekend I’ll be shooting an engagement session in Florence, and I can’t wait!
We didn’t realize this weekend was labor day weekend for much of Europe, so the cities were packed – but it was interesting to see so many tourists, none of which were American.
This is looking out over the outskirts of the beautiful city of Volterra, definitely the favorite of cities we visited. For any obsessive Twilight fans, this is the Italian city they end up in at the end of the book New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. 
Coming down the road from Volterra, we saw some gorgeous landscapes, and even a Tuscan sunset.
I’ll post more photos when I get a chance, as I am in Geneva until the weekend, when I’ll be back in Florence… well hopefully, since right after my flight out of Florence the whole airport when on strike and all the flights out were cancelled! I may be taking a train in for that engagement shoot, but hopefully flights will be up and running again by then!
